iPhone Camera Module
1-inch optics, fused with iPhone compute
A clip-on module that puts a real camera sensor and optics on an iPhone — and fuses them with the phone’s own camera and Neural Engine, instead of bolting on a second camera.
The hardware
A one-inch-class or larger sensor behind a fast prime lens, capturing RAW and DNG. This is the imaging hardware a phone physically cannot fit: the constraint is depth and aperture, and no amount of computation removes it.
The wedge
Earlier clip-ons — DxO ONE, ALICE — were standalone cameras that used the phone as a screen. This module goes the other way: its data is fused deep into the iPhone’s computational pipeline, so the optics and the Neural Engine produce one image together rather than competing to produce two.
The connection
A rigid, lag-free direct connection. This is the specific place earlier modules failed — a wobbling mount and a laggy link turn better optics into a worse camera — so it is treated as a primary design constraint rather than an accessory detail.
